About Olumide

I bring design thinking and frontend craft into one practice.

Ace Designs by Mide is my personal portfolio: a place to share what I make, how I see the work, and the contribution I bring to wider collaborations.

The short version

I design digital experiences, and I know how to carry them into code.

My work is led by websites and interfaces, with a broader interest in visual systems and the small details that give a project its own voice. I care about structure and restraint, but I also leave room for moments that feel unexpected.

This portfolio speaks in the first person because it is my view of the work. Where a project belongs to a wider agency relationship, the context is named clearly rather than folded into a vague personal claim.

A parallel practice

Engineering and digital work have grown side by side in my practice.

Alongside Ace Designs, I work as a structural engineer on steel storage and industrial structures. The disciplines are different, but the habits travel: understand the system, work within real constraints, and care about how every part comes together.

My structural-engineering practice includes modelling, detailing, technical drawing and buildability. It gives my digital work an extra respect for clarity, logic and the joins between the visible idea and the work that makes it hold up.

How I work

01

Clarity before decoration

I start with hierarchy, content and the path someone needs to follow. The visual language earns its place by making that path more legible and distinctive.

02

Design close to the build

Working across design and frontend lets ideas meet the constraints of the browser early—so the finished experience stays intentional instead of becoming a loose translation.

03

Work with real constraints

Whether I am shaping a digital journey or understanding a technical system, I value the conditions that make a decision meaningful: context, consequence and how every part has to come together.

The Velra (opens in a new tab) relationship

One practice, two useful points of view.

Some of the work presented here was delivered through Velra (opens in a new tab) and is shown from my perspective and contribution.

Here, I focus on the decisions and craft I can speak to personally. Velra (opens in a new tab)provides the wider agency context, and every selected client project links to its fuller agency record.
