NMMAF
An energetic identity and publishing platform built to balance sporting momentum with institutional authority.
case study

The project
The Nigeria Mixed Martial Arts Federation needed a recognisable relaunch: a sharper identity, a content-rich website and campaign material capable of supporting athletes, events and the sport’s wider community.
My contribution
I worked across the identity, website and campaign expression, creating a system that could carry the impact of combat sport while remaining credible as a national federation platform.
01 / Client need
What the client needed.
NMMAF wanted to relaunch with more energy and consistency while giving athletes, event audiences and the wider public a dependable place to find information and participate.
The brand needed to hold two qualities at once: the force and movement of MMA, and the legitimacy expected of a governing body. The website also had to serve ongoing federation activity, not just announce a launch.

02 / My response
What I delivered through Velra (opens in a new tab).
I helped translate that balance into a flexible identity, then carried it into a CMS-led platform prioritising registrations, events, athletes and federation updates alongside campaign-ready social creative.
Angular forms, strong contrast, bold typography and motion-led assets gave the system sporting intensity, while a disciplined grid and clear publishing structure maintained authority.

03 / Outcome
What changed.
NMMAF gained a recognisable identity and an active platform designed to support the sport between events—making it easier to publish, register participants and build sustained momentum.
